11月23日晚，第三届“梦想杯”英语演讲比赛决赛（金沙娱场城app7979赛区）在金沙娱场城app7979思学楼B201教室圆满落幕。到场的评委老师有来自外语学院的周葳老师、刘佯老师和来自澳大利亚的外教Elyse。
本次的“梦想杯”英语演讲比赛金沙娱场城app7979赛区经过层层选拔，最终确定了8位来自各个院系的选手进入决赛。此次演讲比赛决赛总共分为两轮，分别是定题演讲和即兴演讲两个环节。在前两轮的比赛中，选手围绕主题“为什么中国的小孩不敢享受它们的青春？”畅所欲言，用流利的表达和精彩的讲述表达了自己对该主题的独到见解。经过第一轮轮的比赛，最终选出5位选手进入第二轮，选手随机抽题并立即发表演讲，再根据内容回答在场老师的提问。宣布比赛结果前的互动环节中，由两位同学给大家带来了优美的英文歌曲缓解了选手们紧张的心情。
经过激烈的角逐，最终来自石工院的高嘉祥同学和外语院的温雪艺同学获得了一等奖，三位同学获得二等奖，其他三位同学获得三等奖。两名获得一等奖的同学将会到四川师范大学参加第三届“梦想杯”英语演讲比赛决赛。这次比赛不仅体现了金沙娱场城app7979同学的优秀的英语口语水平，也充分展示了金沙娱场城app7979学生的自信风采，也为本次“梦想杯”金沙娱场城app7979赛区英语演讲比赛画上了完美的句号。
On November 11th, the third “Dream Cup” English speech contest of SWPU division, in Sixue Building, came to its final with roaring success. And judges present comprised of Miss Zhou Wei, Miss Liu Yang and Australian teacher Elyse from School of Foreign Languages.
Through furious preceding competition in SWPU division, the English speech contest selected 8 contestants from diverse schools into the finals. And the entire competition was segmented into two rounds including Prepared Speech and Impromptu Speech. During the first rounds, focusing on the theme Why Didn’t Chinese Children Dare to Enjoy Their Youth? , contestants shared their specific opinions freely with smooth oral expression. After the first round of competition, 5 distinguished speakers reached the final, round 2. In this part, the contestants were required to deliver an impromptu speech considering the topics randomly selected by themselves and reply the questions uttered by English teachers. Besides that, before the terminal result was announced, two students performed melodic songs respectively, moderating the intense atmosphere on site.
After several rounds of fierce competition, eventually, Gao Jiaxiang from School of the Petroleum Engineering and Wen Xueyi from School of Foreign Languages were awarded the first prizes and three students were awarded the second prizes and the other contestants were awarded the third prizes. Additionally, the two contestants obtaining the first prizes will participate in the Dream Cup English Speech Contest Finals to be held gloriously in Sichuan Normal University. The competition not only exhibited students’ confident demeanor of SWPU, but also reflected the prominent oral English of SWPU and terminated the contest splendidly.
